When is the best time to apply to QSI Zhuhai?

QSI Zhuhai offers rolling admissions, welcoming applications year-round to ensure a smooth, flexible enrollment process. Students are admitted based on space availability in their appropriate age-based class or program.

While families may join at any time during the school year, the best opportunities to start are typically at the beginning of each term. QSI Zhuhai structures its academic year around three terms, providing natural transition points that often align with major holiday breaks. These structured breaks allow new students to integrate more easily, catch up on the curriculum without disruption, and build connections with peers and teachers from the outset.

Our rolling admissions policy ensures we can accommodate families relocating or seeking to enroll mid-year whenever possible, always prioritizing a positive fit for the student and the class community. Does my child need to speak English to apply?

We warmly welcome children of all English proficiency levels to apply.

Students aged 2–7 years (Preschool through 7-year-old class): These young learners participate in a friendly in-person interview with one of our administrators. No prior English knowledge is required—our nurturing early years program supports natural language acquisition.
Students aged 8 years and older (8-year-old class through secondary): Applicants complete an in-person interview and take an English proficiency assessment during the admissions process. This helps us place each student appropriately and ensure they can thrive.

Students demonstrating lower English proficiency will enroll in our dedicated Intensive English (IE) program, which provides focused, accelerated support in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The IE program is available up to the 13-year-old class, preparing students for success in our mainstream all-English classes.

Since the IE program concludes at age 13, students entering middle or secondary levels (typically ages 11+) must have sufficient English proficiency to engage fully in age-appropriate coursework. Our admissions team reviews each applicant on a case-by-case basis, considering age, assessment results, prior learning, and overall fit to support the best possible placement and growth.

Does QSI Zhuhai offer scholarships?

QSI Zhuhai is committed to making our high-quality, international education accessible to deserving students through a limited number of scholarships.

Scholarships are awarded based on specific eligibility criteria, including good academic standing, positive contributions to the school community, demonstrated benefit from our educational program, and family willingness to participate through volunteer hours or other in-kind support. Applications are accepted and reviewed promptly throughout the year, with decisions made by our Advisory Board to ensure fairness and alignment with school goals.
